PIZZICATO FIVE AND KONISHI RELATED
PIZZICATO
FIVE WEB SITE: Will it ever be updated?
KONISHI'S
RELEASE SCHEDULE: Pretty good and official, but certainly
not definite.
********* RECORDS:
This also seems on hold.
KONISHI'S PAGE AT ALLOPHONIC:
Nice Flash animation.
SOUNDFILE READYMADE
FAN PAGE
PIZZICATO
FIVE MAILING LIST: The one, the only.
PIZZICATO FAN SITES
The
Pizzicato Five Song-by-Song Discography: My first P5 site.
The madness began here.
The
Pizzicato Five Lyrics Database: My second site. Nearly complete.
The
Pizzicato Five Solo Site: Peter Vassilakis's site has info
on Takanami and Maki-chan, but hasn't been updated since 1998.
Great
Black Wonder: A collection of promo and rare items you probably
didn't even know existed.
Pizzicato
Lab: The main Japanese fan site.
Pizzicato Five Discography:
Marc Wasiel's site, which includes a constantly updated list
of upcoming releases.
Pizzicato
Five Covers: David Kamil's authoratative guide to the songs
P5 has covered.
BURN
BABY BURN: My CD-R trade page.
REFERENCE
BUGGLE'S
TECHNO-SYNTH-POP ACADEMY: The Big Mama of Japanese techno-pop
information, quite impressive in its breadth, plus it's bilingual
in Japanese and English. One of my main sources of information
when I was making this site. He also hosts seven continually
running "Record Hunting Diaries" of the day-to-day
life of record collecting nuts, himself included (these, unfortunately,
are not in English).
NICK
KENT'S JAPANESE ELECTRONIC MUSIC PAGE: Nick Kent, not the
famous music journalist but equally music-mad, gives an overview
of Japanese music of the '80s and '90s, reviews and technology.
MARQUEE:
The best Japanese magazine for info on Konishi and the whole
Tokyo scene. Sometimes it seems that he edits the thing, as
Pizzicato Five used to get a cover story at least once a year.
HEARTBREAKER'S
JAPANESE MUSIC CHARTS: More J-pop, but does provide a good
overview of this week's music scene with comprehensive links
to artists and sound files.
BONSAI'S JPOP SEARCH:
Down last time I looked, but a searchable database of Japanese
fan sites.
IDOL
POPS: (Japanese) A text-only database of Idol info.
YAHOO JAPAN: As you'd expect.
EXCITE WORLD TRANSLATIONS:
Translate Japanese Web sites into surrealist, cut-up poetry
masquerading as English.
