Email catastrophe
Yesterday Thunderbird went nuts and I lost my whole inbox except for the last 24 hours or so.
If you emailed me at this domain over 24 hours ago and are expecting a reply, perhaps your email was on my "to do" list and now it's gone. When in doubt, please resend.

Do you have backups of your mail archives?
If not, may I suggest google apps?

Perhaps I should consider using Gmail as my main email, but I don't really like reading my email in a browser.

Hi,
we switched to Gmail months ago and it just works great. Imagine, you can read all your mail from wherever an internet coffee opened its doors!
You can use POP3 to get your mail from your domain tokyorecohan.com and use it also as sender mail address in Gmail - nobody will see that you are using Gmail. We use that POP3 and leave the mail on the original accounts having a backup copy.
Best
Markus

I've import all my email since 1993 back and forth from outlook to eudora to entourage to thunderbird to windows to mac to windows and finally got sick of doing it. And now all that mail is up on google apps and it's just great!! Highly recommend. You can still download your mail to a mailer and send from there, just have google apps host all your mail (mail domain) for you.
Unfortunately, google apps mail doesn't work on imode yet but gmail does..
