Amsterdam — Paris — Hong Kong — Tokyo
Today we've booked our tickets to go to Paris in September!
We'll be flying on Cathay Pacific, arrive at Amsterdam on Sunday September 14 (because there were no flights to Paris left during that weekend), stay there a night or two, and then spend most of our trip in Paris until the next Sunday when we'll fly to Hong Kong and stay there for a night before coming back to Tokyo!
I've never been to Europe before, except about 12 hours in transit in Amsterdam many years ago, so I'm very excited.
I'll also be getting to see Plaid (Warp Records) live at Centre Georges Pompidou on September 17! Plaid will have a new album called "Spokes" out on October 20, until then their official site is particularly uninformative because it's slowly revealing the new album's cover artwork. Tickets available on August 17 through Fnac.

That sounds like a nice trip, and I hear that Cathay is a nice airline. You should take advantage of the fact that you're in France and buy a lot of French books, since they're so hard to find in Tokyo (and shipping is a bitch). I'm in Moncton right now and there are no good French bookstores, so I'm going to order a bunch of BDs tonight from Archambault online, which I should get in a few days. Can't wait to get the two new volumes of Yoko Tsuno!

Yeah I will surely drop by a Fnac or two!
Although I'm not as big of a reader as you are, and I still have a few books on my pile, including one I got last Christmas! :)
By the way I may drop by your Junkudo sometimes this week or next week and try to see if I can find the cool design-wise Paris travel book you were talking about in this entry:

Sounds like it would be perfect for me!
