this is a collection of songs from the "girl girl girl radio show". there were 3 main producers involved with this show. haruo kubota, konishi & tesutaro sakurai. tracks 1, 6, 8,and 16 are written & produced by konishi yasuharu. (track 18 is exactly the same as track 1). track 11 is remixed by konishi.

as well as the konishi tracks, there are many good songs by the other producers on this and the other volumes in this series. every week, the three producers had to each contribute approximately 12 minutes (about 2 or 3 songs) to the program.

the music on these albums is incredibly varied and experimental, running through just about any musical genre you care to mention. there are some cover versions, but most of the songs are original.

from the liner notes
1. girl girl girl's theme: the three men: kubota, konishi, and sukarai, all looking a bit tense step inside the large booth of the studio with an ocean view. in time, an instrumental number written by konishi which is lighthearted and simple but with a powerful riff, flows inside the control room. and so the very first historical step of the girl girl girl sessions is taken into stride. hereafter the song is to be loved by all as the theme song of the radio program "girl girl girl".

6. cover your ears: an instrumental neo-hard rock tune written by konishi. gantaro's guitar and sally kubota's bass swells, and yaburin's drum beat bursts. you can listen to the "short cut version" on this album.

8. curried rice: credited as being "dedicated to kenji endo", this song of course has the same title as the great mr. enken's "curried rice", however it is a different song. written by konishi, this beautiful number with it's bittersweet folk-bluesy feeling was the most requested song on our program.

16. boy, boy, boy: this pop shuffle tune is konishi's number one recommendation of this album. the melody is cute and the feelings of the "girl of today" are well expressed in the lyrics. the first girl trio of the program, rina yumiko, are on vocals. music and lyrics written by yasuharu konishi.
