p5 guest appearances

all members of pizzicato five (past and present) have made contributions to other artists' recordings. here are the one's i know about - if you know of any more, please let me know!
cornelius

keigo oyamada (aka cornelius) formerly of "flipper's guitar" co-produced "bossanova 2001" in 1993 and he also played guitar on the last p5 single "it's a beautiful day".

"the first question award" - trattoria pscr-5080

on the first cornelius album, "the love parade" features nomiya maki performing lots of lush overdubbed backing vocals throughout most of the track. this is a wonderfully crafted album filled with fantastic songs.

"69/96" - trattoria pscr-5420

konishi wrote the lyrics for the song "how do you feel?". this album is a work of sheer brilliance. i can't recommend this album highly enough! in addition, track 96 is possibly remixed by konishi. there are no credits for this song at all, but there are 2 clues: the "a new stereophonic sound spectacular" sample is used several times and there is also a slowed down sample of nomiya maki singing the phrase "tokyo wa yoro no shijichi". make of that what you will! can anyone confirm this?

"96/69" - trattoria pscr-5480

the remix album of "69/96" has a credit for konishi on "world's end humming - reprise (in hawaii)". it's a strange remix - the whole track is slowed down (a lot). like playing a 45 rpm record at 33 rpm. if you like "69/96" you'll be interested in this album. some of the remixes are great, some are just plain bizarre, but all are very different to the original versions.

towa tei

towa tei, formerly of deee-lite, has worked with p5 on several occasions. he remixed "catchy" for "expo 2001" and produced "contact" on "romantique 96".

"future listening" - elektra 7559-61761-2

this was the towa tei's first solo album. konishi co-wrote the lyrics to the song "la douce vie (amai seikatsu)" while nomiya maki sang the lead vocals.

les 5-4-3-2-1

"tribute to burt bacharach" - triad coca-12166 (japan)
"sushi 3003" - bungalow bung006 (germany)

both of these excellent compilation albums feature the burt bacharach song, "bond street", performed by les 5-4-3-2-1 featuring k-taro takanami on co-lead vocals. there are no words though - just "pah pah pahs" throughout! this song is incredibly catchy, although it's not really representative of the sound of les 5-4-3-2-1. their unique blend of house, glam rock, 60's pop and disco is a real treat! their last album "1973" is especially worth checking out.

"tribute to burt bacharach" also contains the dj krush remix of "me, japanese boy" by p5, as well as lots of other cool stuff.

"sushi 3003" also contains tracks by pizzicato five, k-taro takanami, cornelius, kahimi karie, tokyo's coolest combo, mari natsuki, havana exotica and many others.
