March 2005   (To listening archives)

Readymade Digs Disney 2 is a bit so so. The songs are good though not quite as groovy as I expected. It's a fun listen nevertheless. Most songs are very short, between 2-3 minutes.

As for Elektel, it's excellent! Some songs reminded me a little bit of Capsule. The production is great and I was captivated by the whole album. I'll be listening to this one a lot!

You received it quickly! :)

Here's what she says:
"The next song is also a new one... Now this is when you're supposed to applause.
<applause>
Give me more love!
'yūwakusarete suterarete'."

Wow, doesn't NATSUKI Mari look glamorous in the promo DVD ? The pictures on the album covers don't do her justice at all ! Can you tell me what she's saying as an introduction to the track ?

It's very good! Being mostly covers of foreign songs, you sholdn't expect it to sound too Japanese except for some bits sung in Japanese. Nevertheless it's very groovy and you may recognize some Pizzicato Five influences.

Personally I like it a lot! And yes, it's selected by Comoesta!

Do you recommend buying the Akasaka compilation ? I am very tempted, it's compiled by Comoesta, isn't it ?

Yes it is! Words, music, arrangement and produced by Konishi-san. Pretty good song!

Is WADA Akiko's "ikiru" produced or written by Konishi ?

February 2005   (To listening archives)

A bit! With their previous albums I couldn't, but I feel they're making an effort to evolve their sound a bit more now. :)

Of course there are still a lot of elements of what makes up their sound, but it does sound new to me.

January 2005   (To listening archives)

Oh ok! That's why I had trouble finding where it was being sold. I guess the probable extra tracks may be worth the wait.

You are actually right but that edition has now been deleted and her record company is now re-releasing the album in March following the release of new single "Heartbeat" in February !

It's pretty good and a lot of fun! I think you'll like it! :)

An edition (not sure from where) came out in October 2004 and can probably be ordered on the net somewhere. At least at Escalator (http://shop.escalator.co.jp/).

July 2004   (To listening archives)

Unfortunately they accept only international postal money orders; this will slow things down of course but I think I have no choice !!
Of course I wait for your review as soon as you get it, OK ?
