Perfume "⊿"
Perfume's 3rd album is coming next week, with a strange title that reads "Triangle". Always produced by Nakata Yasutaka (capsule), this follow-up to best-selling "Game" comes with very high expectations! Included are the 3 latest singles "One Room Disco", "love the world" and "Dream Fighter", as well as the recent "Night Flight" that can be heard in a commercial for Pino ice cream.
There was a limited edition with a bonus DVD, but it looks like some online sites have already stopped taking reservations. Hurry while you can!

Cosmetics "tomorrow" (Download)
Cosmetics, the 3-girl unit produced by Rocketman (aka Fukawa Ryō), has a new EP available for download on iTunes Japan. This contains new catchy vocoder track "tomorrow", that can be heard in full in the YouTube clip below, plus new remixes of first single "Love Is All".

Aira Mitsuki "Aira no kagaku CD"
Aira Mitsuki has a new CD being sold only at the "exciting bookstore" chain Village Vanguard throughout Japan. The title refers to "otona no kagaku" ("science for adults"), a magazine that always comes with a kit to build something, last year one of which contained a small theremin 
.
Featured are two tracks performed together with thereminist Takeuchi Masami, the new original "Science Music" and also a cover of "senjō no Merry Christmas" of which a version appeared on the "Teardrop" compilation released last December. Also included are I Am Robot and Proud's remix of "Happiness Land" (as featured on latest single "BARBiE BARBiE") and a cover of Kahimi Karie's "Mike Alway's Diary" (also from the "Teardrop" compilation).

Star Dish "Conversation"
Star Dish, the club-jazz unit of Sano Atsushi (Sherlock Notes) and Playa, brings us a first full-length album. This features guest Raphael Sebbag (United Future Organization), as well as members of Jabberloop and Immigrant's Bossa Band.

Maezono Naoki Group "hi o tsukeru. Maezono Naoki Group dai1shū." (12")
Konishi Yasuharu (Pizzicato Five) is a pianist! Maezono Naoki Group started performing late 2008 and has been releasing small-sized magazines irregularly. Finally here's a first album, but be aware that it's vinyl only (no CD anyway). If you're interested at all, better be safe than sorry and pre-order early at Jet Set, as this is being released only in a limited number.
Don't miss the group's first videoclip below, for the song "Tokyo no machi ni yuki ga furu hi, futari no koi wa owatta." that could previously be heard on the "uta to Guitar. Piano. kotoba." compilation from columbia*readymade, sung by Mizuno Mari (Paris Match).

akiko "Hit Parade -London Nite Tribute-"
Jazz singer akiko has a rocking new album coming up, paying tribute to Japan's first rock DJ event "London Nite". Featured producers include Konishi Yasuharu, Sunaga Tatsuo (sunaga t experience), Matsuda "Chabe" Gakuji (Cubismo Grafico) and more.
Konishi Yasuharu's tracks are covers of The Kinks' "You Really Got Me" and Sheena & The Rokkets' "You May Dream". Sunaga Tatsuo does "(Do) The Hucklebuck", and more.

Vanilla Beans "koi no Theory" (Download)
More good post-Shibuya-kei pop from Vanilla Beans with their latest single "koi no Theory", now available for download only. The song is the theme of movie "fujoshi kanojo".
There's some remix contest going on, grab the files by going here and clicking the big pink button a bit down the page, and then agreeing to those terms (yes, yes, yes).
Their next release is likely to be a new single on September 9, produced by Mr. Sweden aka Kaji Hideki! The title is "LOVE&:HATE".

Yoko Ono/Plastic Ono Band "Don't Stop Me!" (Download)
Yoko Ono's latest work brings back the Plastic Ono Band name with a new EP titled "Don't Stop Me!" now released for download only. Featured musicians include Oyamada Keigo, Araki Yūko, Shimizu Hirotaka (all three of The Cornelius Group), Honda Yuka (Cibo Matto), and Yoko's son Sean Lennon.
An album titled "Between My Head and The Sky" is planned for release in September, and will contain 15 songs.
