Aira Mitsuki "Copy"

Techno-pop idol Aira Mitsuki has finally a first album coming up, following 3 good-selling singles. Included are 9 brand new tracks, but also up to 7 tracks from the 3 previously released singles.

Buyers beware, the album will come in two editions: a "limited" edition containing only the 12 first tracks, and a "regular" edition with 4 bonus tracks (total of 16)... usually it's the other way around. The limited edition is cheaper and has different artwork.

Those who choose the regular edition will own all songs and remixes from the previous 2 singles "Darling Wondering Staring / Star Fruits Surf Rider" and "China Discotica".

Tower Records and HMV both offer a bonus CD with either edition while supplies last. Tower says it's a mega-mix by DJ Yakenohara. No details on HMV's (could be the same or not).

Towa Tei feat. Lina Ohta "A.O.R" (DVD+earphones)

Towa Tei has a new DVD single for his latest track, "A.O.R" feat Lina Ohta. It's a special package including earphones by Amadana, his brother's cool design brand, in a limited "champagne gold" color. This package is very limited, so act quickly.

Various Artists "Sounds of March ~Nissan March Historical Compilation~"

Nissan's commercial for its popular March car have used several Shibuya-kei-related songs over the years, including Kahimi Karie, a cover of Flipper's Guitar by Nakatsuka Takeshi, an original mid-90's song by Konishi Yasuharu, a cover sung by Harada Ikuko (Clammbon) and more. This is a first collection of these commercial songs, as the March celebrates its 26th anniversary.

pupa "floating pupa pre-remix e.p."

I just learned about this, but pupa (Takahashi Yukihiro et al.) had released on iTunes a 4-track remix EP a week before the release of album "floating pupa". 4 tracks from the album are remixed by members Takada Ren, Horie Hirohisa and Gondō Tomohiko.

Rufran "mezame"

This is a first mini-album by Rufran, a new unit by Gary Ashiya, a famous producer who has done a lot of soundtrack works, as well as producing many artists such as Nagisa Yōko and hige no mibojin (La veuve moustachue).

Here we're promised a style that reminds of the 70's, with full band back-up and singer Rufran Asako's vocals.

TV soundtrack "seigi no mikata Original Soundtrack"

Konishi Yasuharu is producing a brand new soundtrack for a TV comedy drama series, titled "seigi no mikata" (「正義の味方」, translates to something like "justice supporter"). The music will feature a lot of acoustic instruments recorded in studio, we're told!

The program will start airing from July 9 on NTV, every Wednesday from 22:00.

arcorhyme afternoon live at Grand Cru (vol.5)

This month will be held the 5th edition of arcorhyme's early afternoon monthly show at Après-midi Grand Cru, the pasta and wine restaurant located below Café Après-midi. There will be two free sets with different songs. Charge is free, so come early and have a pleasant lunch while enjoying Takanami K-tarō and Nishimura Ikuyo's great music.

This time their guest musician is bassist Sally Kubota (Sally Soul Stew, Les 5-4-3-2-1, The Phantom Gift)! A cover of Les 5-4-3-2-1 is to be expected (my own request). :)
